Take a look at Woodlands new babies. Even better come and visit them yourself and have a fantastic day at the 90 acre leisure park as well.

The Prettiest baby piglets.

8 baby Oxford Sandy and Black piglets were born on Tuesday 14th July.  They are rare in the pig world as they were virtually extinct 20 years ago.  The traditional English pig was found on most farms 100 years ago but declined after the war. There are still only 4 male and 13 female bloodlines in the whole country. Careful breeding by the Oxford Sandy & Black Society has increased numbers. This year for the first time a young gilt qualified for the finals in the Royal Shows Young Pig of the Year against traditional and modern breeds. Queen Charlotte is a wonderful mum and the piglets will inherit the breed’s excellent temperament. Young visitor Erin was overjoyed when two beautiful babies actually cuddled up to their famous cousin Peppa Pig. “They weren’t a bit shy or squeaky” she said.

Wild at Woodlands

A pair of wild Canada Geese flew into Woodlands 2 months ago and have decided it's the best place to set up home and start a family.

There is a beautiful secluded area which is earmarked as a conservation area at the bottom of the park but did the geese choose this as their home? No they prefer all the fun of the Bumper Boat pond next to the massive Sea Dragon Swing Ship.
